Truxtun Foundation helps veterans in transition rebuild purpose, community, and direction — and funds access to the care that makes it possible.
THE TRANSITION OUT OF SERVICE SHOULDN’T BE FACED ALONE
Truxtun Foundation is a veteran-founded, veteran-led 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting veterans as they transition out of service, and rebuild purpose, community, and direction. Veterans attend vetted psychedelic programs run by trusted partners. We provide the preparation, integration, and community around independently administered experiences. Our research strengthens the evidence for this care to widen access, advance policy reform, and reach more veterans.

Veterans face loss of tribe after military service
Isolation within civilian institutions
Disruption of identity & purpose
$130B spent annually on programs that don’t work

70% don’t complete the VA Transition Assistance Program correctly
61% underemployed 6.5 years post-service
The Crisis
This care isn’t covered by insurance, and research shows it’s more effective at treating symptoms of isolation, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and loss of purpose & identity than what most veterans have been offered over the last twenty years. Yet it stays out of reach for the people who need it most. That’s what we’re here to change.
